Staff Reports
Issue date: 11/3/09 Section: Features
Due to conflict between the ECU class schedule and the Virginia Tech game Thursday the following parking modifications have been made:
Resident Students
College Hill Drive and 14th Street between Elm and Charles will be closing at 5:30 p.m. and you will be unable to enter the area after this time.
Parking in the College Hill area will be by A2 permits only. No D zone permits are allowed.
Starting at 3:30 p.m. access to College Hill Drive will be to A2 permit holders only from 10th Street
Parking & Transportation has a limited number of $4 one-day parking permits that may be purchased by your visitor in order to park in the College Hill area for the game. Your visitor must be on College Hill prior to the 5:30 p.m. road closings.
Parking and Transportation Services will close office operations at 3 p.m. Enforcement will continue in the College Hill area as a part of football game parking enforcement.
A $35 citation will be issued to unregistered vehicles in the College Hill area.
All permitted vehicles must be in a designated parking space. Parking on the grass is not allowed.
No cookers, tents or tailgating accessories are allowed on the asphalt. Grass areas are available for tailgating on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please take advantage of recycling and trash collection bins to help keep our campus beautiful.
Commuter Students
Please be aware that on Thursday, Nov. 5, beginning at 12 p.m., the commuter parking lots at Minges and Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium will close to incoming commuter student parking patrons.
If you are coming to campus after 12 p.m., please plan to park in the Belk Building lot off Curry Court. Normal ECU Student Transit bus service will operate to all campus stops and return to the Belk Building lot until 4 p.m. when you must move your car out of the area.
All vehicles must be removed from the stadium area by 3:30 p.m. Please note that normal football parking rules and regulations will take effect at 4 p.m. on Thursday
