Four bands scheduled to perform at this year's Barefoot

The first band performing will be Love & Reverie, also known as L&R. Love & Reverie is a group of five guys from Richmond, Va. that generate a pop-rock sound. The group has been together since June 2006 when the friends decided to put their musical talents together to form one musical troupe.
"I'm from Richmond and I used to go watch them play when I was in high school. They were just starting," said student Meghan MacGhee.
The second band of the night is a local favorite, Blount Harvey. The band formed in Greenville in the summer of 2006, and the hip-hop/soul style that is Blount Harvey can usually be seen on the weekends at nightclubs downtown and at local restaurants. The band consists of a guitarist, keyboardist, a trumpet player and vocalists.
"I've seen Blount Harvey play a few times; they are really great to listen and relax to," said ECU junior Brad Waters.
Third on the schedule is singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson. The Maryland native has a pop/rock sound and performs well-known singles such as "OK, It's Alright With Me" and "All Over Now." Hutchinson has been on tour this year performing all over the country, in states like Texas to New York. Hutchinson has also played on various shows, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and an opening for Jason Mraz. Hutchinson will be performing with Sugarland this summer as well.
Shwayze is scheduled to close out Barefoot on the Mall. The hip-hop rappers from California have been together since 2006, producing popular singles like "Rock N' Roll," "Polaroid" and "Corona and Lime."
"I cannot wait for Shwayze, they are going to be awesome," said freshman Jennifer Turner.
Barefoot on the Mall is will take place today on the Mall in Central Campus from 2-8 p.m. Performers are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. and last until Barefoot festivities are complete.
