For any aspiring models under 5 feet 7 inches in height, this Saturday may be your big break.

From 1-5 p.m. in the clubhouse at The Landing student apartments, the CW Network's "America's Next Top Model" will be holding an open casting call for ECU students and area residents for Cycle 13 of the hit show.

Hosted by top model Tyra Banks, "America's Next Top Model" is a reality show where everyday people get the chance to compete for a grand prize modeling contract.

Any 18-27 year old female who fits the eligibility requirements is welcome to audition. According to the CW's Web site, eligibility requirements for this cycle have changed from previous cycles and are available for viewing online.

"You must be at or under five feet and seven inches in height, although producers reserve the right to make case-by-case exceptions. Please note the change in this requirement from past cycles of the series," the Web site reads.

A casting call was recently held in Rocky Mount, N.C. with the past cycle's eligibility requirements.

According to Courtney Burlingame, the Marketing Director at WNCT, the CW affiliate in Eastern NC that broadcasts the network, those who auditioned in Rocky Mount "are still getting a chance."

Those who auditioned that are 5 feet 7 inches and below are asked to resubmit their application and applications of those over 5 feet 7 inches will be held until cycle 14.

"Before we signed up, the eligibility requirements hadn't been released and the CW rep told us that it wasn't likely to change and it was safe to host the casting call," Burlingame said.

The casting call in Greenville will be held with the new cycle eligibility requirements.

Those who audition are asked to go online to cwtv.com and print and complete the application.

On Saturday, applicants will be asked to walk a runway and then participate in a one-on-one interview that will be filmed and sent off to the casting directors of the show.

If chosen, applicants will then fly to meet with casting agents from "America's Next Top Model."

According to Marsha Kettler, the community manager at The Landing, the network explored a few venue options before deciding on The Landing to host the casting call.

"They were going around trying to find places that had students between 18 and 27 years old and came into our property and said 'you have a great location, would you be interested in hosting here?' It's really exciting," Kettler said.

The event will also host a DJ and food and anyone is welcome to attend.

"We're trying to let people know that they're coming here and to stop by on Saturday even if you just want to hang out and watch," Kettler said.

Cycle 12 of "America's Next Top Model" is set to premiere Wednesday, March 4 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
