H1N1 vaccines available on campus

The Student Health Center will be offering H1N1 vaccinations at Wright Auditorium this week. Monday's clinic was for individuals who are considered to be at high risk to catch the flu. High-risk individuals include pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months, healthcare professionals and individuals between ages 7-24 with chronic medical problems.

  • Humane Society hosts Halloween event

    Saturday afternoon, before the eventful evening set in, the Greenville community was invited to celebrate Halloween on a charitable - and comedic - note. The Humane Society of Eastern North Carolina sponsored a doggy costume contest at Green Springs Park on Fifth Street.

  • Art students react to sculpture vandalism

    Art students are enraged and dismayed by the vandalism that occurred on ECU's campus over Homecoming weekend in October. The sculpture "Song of the Sirens" was destroyed in an act of vandalism. The sculpture was created by former graduate student Adam Caleb Buth and was displayed outside of Jenkins Fine Arts Center on Fifth Street for nearly two years.

  • ELON, N.C. (AP) - Three out of four North Carolina residents believe the U.S. health care system needs reform, but they are split on whether the reform should include a public option, according to a poll released Monday by Elon University. The poll showed that 76.

  • Munich comes to ECU

    The Student Activities Board and German Club hosted a successful Oktoberfest celebration Wednesday. Oktoberfest is a traditional festival that takes place in Germany, which began as Prince Ludwig's wedding reception party in 1812. Since it was successful, it became an annual event.

  • On Sunday at approximately 3:30 a.m., two unknown males, while walking in the 10th Street and College Hill Drive area, assaulted a female. The suspects were said to have been wearing dark clothing and one had on a mask turned around backwards from what the victim could recall.

  • Rebel, ECU's Student Media literary magazine, won the annual Pacemaker Award at the 88th Annual Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisers National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas. This is the ninth time Rebel has won the Pacemaker Award.
